Cherry Tomato, Feta & Basil Kebabs
Who isn’t on a diet at the start of the year? If you’re hosting a party after Christmas and worrying about what you should serve, these little kebabs will help you out. Not only are they fun to prepare and look elegant, they’re healthy too. This recipe comes from Gordon Ramsay‘s new Fast Food book and indeed it doesn’t take more then ten minutes to make.
P.S. These kebabs will be served at Stephanie, The Happy Sorceress‘ Blog Party.
Cherry Tomato, Feta & Basil Kebabs
Preparation: 10 mins – Cooking: None

Ingredients
- 300g (10½ oz) feta cheese
- 30 cherry tomatoes
- 30 basil leaves
- salad dressing (optional)
Method
- Cut the feta into 2cm (slightly less than 1 inch) cubes and halve the cherry tomatoes. Thread them on to cocktail sticks, sandwiching a feta cube between two tomato halves. Thread a basil leaf on to each end and arrange the kebabs on a serving plate.
- If you have any salad dressing available, you can lightly sprinkle some over the kebabs. Extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar in a ration of 2:1 will also do.

These make me yearn for summer and our fresh homegrown cherry tomatos.

Wow, we live in the land of feta and have never made this combination. I can only imagine the taste. Yummy.

Ive made these before and find that a little pesto dressing is just the thing to give them a little zing.

Stef: Homegrown tomatoes are the best!
Thanks, Patricia. You are right; they are amazing.
Hélène: These kebabs are quick to prepare before a party, so ideal indeed.
Deeba: Broccoli, cottage cheese and pineapple? What an interesting combination. I should try it out sometime…
Ivy: Coming from Greece I’m sure you use feta in lots of other dishes I have never dreamed of.
Rick: Pesto, huh? Interesting idea, I’ll try it next time.
