We have saved money this year by doing the following:
- bought 3 hens at point of lay and have enjoyed 3 fresh, free range eggs every day
- We have grown all our own vegetables including potatoes, peas, beans, courgettes, cucumber, radishes,beetroot, leeks, turnips and have especially enjoyed growing tomatoes and salad which have saved us the most money
- Getting a water butt second hand to collect rainwater to water the garden
- Building a composter to recycle food waste to feed the garden

By getting my husband to build a raised bed and growing my own veg,using a compost in to make my own cmpost,using a slow cooker and breadmaker to make lovely yet cheap meals.
