I guess i'm lucky because my son is almost 3 and we have continued to go to restaurants once a week since he was 3 months old. He rarely misbehaves and if hes fussy we give him books, coloring, toy cars, and snacks and that keeps him busy. My second son is due in 3 months and I plan to continue this because I need a night off from cooking lol. As far as your recipe it sounds great. I'm planning to try with milk instead of heavy cream to lower the fat a bit. Kiss restaurants goodbye?
