LOL - what a day!! Strangely enough, when I was back hoem in december a similar thing had just happened to one of my best friends back home - she went to the car a few metres from the front door to collect a bag of groceries and in the time it took her, Jack shut the front door and closed the deadbolt, which slipped into its latch. He is tall enough juuuust to push the bolt, but not to lift the little loop ad take it off its latch - and in this case, as the door is wood, my friend could not even see him - a 2 year old alone in a house with elecrical sockets, toilets full of water, drawers full of knives... you can picture the total extreme panic! Every aperture is Trellidor'd into oblivion, so there was no way of even breaking a window to get in. In the end she smashed the opaque glass (hello the 70s!) burglar-barred breezeway in the centre of the front door (of course jack was standing silently right next to the front door at the time...) and the bolt was slid back with the assistance of a slim-wristed neighbour and a coat hanger...

What a day, I bet the panic levels were rising a tad as you tried to get your husband to come home.
I did smile as the thought of a med student with hoe saved the day. Maybe its a natural talent for a dr to use tools well.
Glad you managed to get in and nothing happened to Shacia, while she was off on her jaunt.
The casserole is yet another I will bemaking tonight as I have most of that in the house and I need warming foods too.

Not one of your better days then? I would be a nervous wreck after all that and hit the chocolate stash. A nutritious casserole sounds far more sensible!
