AFRICAN STEW
Hi – I haven’t tried an African dish yet, but I am now curious so will be checking out the web for African Restaurants and looking at their menu’s.
Best wishes
does hummous count? oh, i suppose that’s more middle-eastern though. i’ve only been to africa once and that was the very top, and is a spanish enclave, so i didn’t really get the feel of any african food
Love, love, love!… Vegetarian couscous.
I love Bobotie – an alternative to our Shepherds Pie.Made with lambe mince, onions, apples, curry powder, sultanas and a topping made with bread & eggs instead of mashed potatoes – sort of like bread & butter pudding topping but savoury . Yum yum
I LOVE AFRICAN CASSAVA DISHES LIKE AUGARI &
GREEN BANANA DISHES.
Spicy Morrocian Lamb Tangine with a roasted vegetable cous cous. M’mm… Yummy!!
Green banana and coconut beef stew from Gambia.
Scrumptious!
Lamb Tangine
I must have eaten lots of african meals – but apart from a lamb tagine – I can’t think of one !
Embarrassingly I was suffering with trapped wind. As a real foody I decided to tackle it the natural way – with beans!! I found a receipe for Moimoi ,which is a rich steamed beans (black eyed beans) cake eaten all over Nigeria. I had it with jolloff rice and it is now a firm favourite – lush!
Moroccan Lamb Tagine…. Absolutely delicious!! Especially served on a bed of cous cous YUM!!
Boerewors bbq’d with friends and way too many Windhoek Lagers!!!
Honey bread …but go for a run afterwards to burn off the calories
