Can you believe Christmas is just around the corner?
I can’t! But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t start buying presents and preparing for the festive season. These cherries, that are steeped in Kirsch, make excellent gifts, so why not give it a go?

I’d make some chocolate icecream and mix in some of the cherries chopped before it freezes then serve with some cream and more of the cherries and the Kirsch slightly warmed
I would have mine on a luxuriously fattening cheesecake with cream (it’s Christmas! Time to put on some weight and get merry!)
I’d make some chocolate brownies with the cherries in – heaven
On an adult only night in with my husband (well, we couldn’t give them to the two toddlers now could we).

Ooo, swirled into some top quality Devon ice cream. Yum yum.
Over homemade tiramisu, finished off with dark chocolate shavings
oh so many ways as cherries are lush but one of my favourite ways would be stuffed cherry pancakes with a good quality vanilla ice cream yummy!!!
simply in a pancake with a drizzle of melted high quality dark chocolate over them bliss

With some Brandy and Madeira Cake. Don’t know why, but that just comes into my head as a nice accompaniment!
In a light fluffy pancake with a warm chocolate sauce and with cornish ice-cream on the side – yum!

Hot with thick whipped cream on top. Mmmmmmm
I would enjoy them with the lights off and a few candles lit and having them fed to me with a rich vanilla ice cream by my partner and vice versa.
in a glass of champagne let the cherry sit in the bottom and pout the juice in slightly to make a fab cocktail

I would use them as a topping for a homemade pavlova, a lovely alternative to xmas pudding on Christmas day.

Baked in florentines instead of glace cherries then given as a gift
I’d like them as is or with brilliant vanilla ice cream. But then, I might give them to a very good friend who just adores cherries
