What a beautiful French Kitchen: Classic Recipes for Home Cooks by Serge Dansereau is. The quintessential recipes are easy to understand and the photography so stunning that I just want screw the diet I’m on and run into the kitchen to start making some of the delectable looking dishes such as:
- Chicken Liver Parfait
- Caramelised Tomato and Spring Onion Tart Tatin
- Steak Diane with Cream and Brandy
- Chocolate Croissant Pudding
I give away a lot of cookbooks I receive but this one is definitely a keeper!

My favourite desert is a simple fruit salad, I never have much room after dinner and I fin this so light and refreshing.

My favourite dessert has to be Lemon Custard Tart with freshly whipped cream! Absolutely delicious!
My FAVOURITE dessert is always trifle, home made is best, in fact any trifle made by my mum ^__^ with lots of sherry drenched spongey fingers at the bottom!
I’m a lover of chocolate fudge cake warmed up so melted slightly with a nice creamy vanilla ice cream scoop next to it
