Good Karma #1

My mother and I may have disagreed about lots of things in the past, but she is right about one thing (and many more): you get out what you put in. What on earth am I talking about?

An old friend of mine dropped me a message in Facebook congratulating me on appearing in South Africa’s O Magazine. Within seconds of reading the email I ran to the phone, called my parents, who in turn sped off to the shops and bought every single copy they could find. Okay, maybe not, but you’ll have to verify that with them. My father scanned in the applicable pages and at last I saw it with my own two eyes.

I’m still walking on clouds. It’s a great feeling to be considered one of the top South African foodie blogs and to be rubbing shoulders with big names like Dooce.com (Heather is American) who is also mentioned in the article. As any blogger will tell you, it’s hard work maintaining a blog, especially a food one but I love every minute of it, whether I’m cooking, photographing, eating or writing.

A big thank you to Lusanda Ngcaweni who wrote the article and giving a shout-out to Greedy Gourmet on SAfm this week.

Speaking of which, why not say hello on Facebook?
