Maple Glazed Carrots Recipe

Description

A tasty addition to your roast dinner. These Maple Glazed Carrots are easy to make and cooked to perfection. 


Ingredients

  • 1kg (2.2lb) carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 42g (3 tbsp) butter
  • 75ml (5 tbsp) maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Place the carrots in a pot of salted water. 
  2. Bring to a boil then lower the heat to a simmering point. 
  3. Cook for 10 minutes or until the carrots are tender.
  4. Drain the carrots in a colander and let them steam dry for a few minutes. 
  5. Using the same pot, melt the butter and stir in the maple syrup over a medium heat. 
  6. Stir in the carrots and let them heat through. 
  7. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe is highly versatile and you can easily adapt it to your preference. 
  • If you’re vegan, you can substitute the butter with a dairy-free version.
  • Instead of boiling the carrots you can steam them.

  • Instead of butter, you can fry some sliced bacon in the pot and toss the carrots in the bacon fat along with maple syrup.
