– leeks – butter – oil – double cream – salt and pepper
1. Cut the whole leeks into 1cm (½ inch) slices. 2. Melt the butter in a frying pan and add the oil.
3. When the butter starts sizzling, add the leeks and continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the leeks have softened.
4. Add the cream and let it bubble for 1 minute. 5. Season to taste and serve immediately.
