– Weetabix – raisins – sugar – milk – egg – self-raising flour
1. Place the Weetabix, sugar, raisins and milk in a large bowl. 2. Let the ingredients soak for at least an hour at room temperature.
3. Preheat the oven to 180°C / fan 160°C / 355°F / gas mark 4. 4. Grease and flour a 900g (2lb) loaf tin. Set aside.
5. Add the egg to the bowl and mix. 6. Fold in the flour.
7. Tip the contents into the loaf tin and bake for 1 hour, or until cooked. 8. Tip the cake out and leave to cool on a wire rack.
