Ingredients
- One head of fresh broccoli
- Water
- Salt (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the broccoli under cold water.
- Trim the stem off and cut each floret into bite-size pieces. If desired, you can also cook the stem: simply slice off any blemishes and cut into small bite-size pieces.
- Boil water in a pot. Add a pinch of salt (optional).
- Add broccoli to boiling water. Cook for 3-4 mins until tender but firm. Pierce with a fork to check if it has reached the desired texture.
- Drain broccoli using a colander.
- Serve immediately. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
