Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Cream Cheese

Ingredients

  • 12 pitted dates
  • 6 rashers streaky bacon
  • 100g (3oz) cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/390°F/gas 6.
  2. Cut the bacon rashers in half.
  3. Make a slit, from top to bottom, in each date.
  4. Using a teaspoon, stuff each date with cream cheese.
  5. Wrap each date with half a slice of bacon and secure the end of the bacon with a toothpick.
  6. Arrange the dates on a baking sheet and cook for around 15 minutes until the bacon is cooked and crisp. Don’t forget to turn the dates halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature.
