How To Make This Recipe
Brown the ground beef.
Add the Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, salt and dried oregano. Cook for 2 minutes then remove from the pan.
Gently fry the onions and garlic until softened.
Tip in the carrots and celery.
Cook for 10 minutes until softened.
Stir in the browned meat.
Add the broth, cheese and sour cream.
Let it bubble away for 3 minutes then remove from the heat.
Peel and grate the potatoes.
Use a tea towel to wring out the excess moisture. Season with salt and pepper.
Transfer the meat to a baking dish.
Top with the grated potatoes.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Add grated cheese on top. Bake for another 5 minutes or until it's melted.
Serve immediately with your favourite greens on the side. Enjoy!
Top Tip
If shredding the potatoes ahead of time be sure to keep them in water to prevent oxidizing. Otherwise, tossing them in oil after they have been dried will also keep them from turning brown before being added to your hamburger hash browns casserole.
